I've got a hankering to move there, anyone know it well or got any tips?

I'm not expecting any replies really, it's quite a small place, but I love it.

I go every year! It's lovely but I have no tips, sorry. I love all the names of the cottages. Why charmouth?

Whenever we pull into the village, usually out of season, it feels like coming home and an overwhelming feeling of "rightness" comes over me. I

We are both retired now and I can't work out if it would be ridiculous to sell up and move there, or the best idea ever.

I feel like that when I go there too and also about Lyme Regis just up the road. It's a lovely little area Charmouth, why not rent a place for the whole summer to see how you like it to try it out? I think it would become a problem if ever you couldn't drive though? However my mum and dad often used to jump on the buses and say how great they were down there.

It's a special place Mumsy, you understand. I have thought about a long term let, but DH isn't keen, and not many come up, my little cat complicates matters.

The buses are great and we use them anyway. We're renting a place in Lower Sea lane later this year, I think we will decide then.

Meanwhile, back to daydreaming on Rightmove.

I know Lower Sea Lane - is it a white cottage by any chance? I've always fancied renting a beautiful little cottage called Sea View Cottage. I hope your dreams come true one day. The cat would love it too!

No, not Sea View cottage, that's a bit expensive for two of us, it's called Jurassic Coast Beach House, The Hideaway, very cute inside.

We often stay at Seadown, in a caravan, so we're trying something different.

You need to live there through a summer season to see if you still like it

Five, yes, your right. We're the opposite of most people who need to try a place when it's out of season.

Seadown is a lovely caravan park. Can't fault it. Fish and chip van and then a pizza oven van! We always have beautiful weather when we go down there too. I love the place i really do.
