What's going on with all the purple lighting in this house? Is this a thing?

It's easy to get lost in Cherry Hinton. Perhaps they use the purple lights for navigation purposes ?

Loving how they combine the space ship feel with country-feel wooden cupboards, and that etching in the shower screen. Oh, and the leopard skin bedding. shock

Very, er, interesting! I knew by about pic 4 that there would be a hot tub in the garden too.

Lights remind me of McDonald's loos where they allegedly have the UV light so people don't inject...not sure that's the look I would choose for a house tbh.

"stunning range - almost too many to count - of polished wood units..." confused

Bizarre house.

wowfudge Tue 08-Mar-16 16:32:38

Well it certainly goes with the tasteless decor.

wonkylegs Tue 08-Mar-16 16:32:40

It's um err rather 'individual'? Isn't it.
Somehow I'm glad I'm not their neighbours, I suspect it's a bit of a 'party house'

Lweji Tue 08-Mar-16 16:33:38

They've taken so many photos of the lighting that they must think it's a selling point.

Has anyone noticed any pampas grass anywhere?

OTheHugeManatee Tue 08-Mar-16 16:36:04

Country-style pine bedroom furniture and animal print bedding is not a combination I've seen before.

There's a good reason for that grin

Pointlessfan Tue 08-Mar-16 16:36:13

Has Peter Stringfellow started doing interior design?!

OTheHugeManatee Tue 08-Mar-16 16:36:44

Lweji I was wondering about the pampas grass too grin

AlpacaLypse Tue 08-Mar-16 16:37:41

I'd noticed a bit in the first photo, and also in no.5, then it was just a very normal set until photo no.12 - WTAFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lweji Tue 08-Mar-16 16:38:05

"(Audio visual hardware may not be included in sale)."

May?

Also
"Three special features - the large WORKSHOP, surprising seclusion and covered HOT TUB AREA - are worthy of note."

In case nobody had noticed.

On the upside once you've stripped the wallpaper for something that won't make you go crosseyed every time you look at it and swapped the lightbulbs for white ones it's nice enough!

wonkylegs Tue 08-Mar-16 20:30:02

This ones got a similar theme in the loft conversion www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-30994998.html

Lweji Tue 08-Mar-16 20:34:19

But that is just the play room. Possibly rave room too.
And it has a sauna rather than a hot tub.

thesilentone Tue 08-Mar-16 23:59:36

There's 16 photos there. Feels like photo 17 would be the secret s&m room.

GinBunny Wed 09-Mar-16 00:17:09

Possibly rave room too
Yep, there are a lot of old ravers selling up by the looks of things.

AgathaF Wed 09-Mar-16 04:33:18

Wow!. Just wow....

echt Wed 09-Mar-16 05:38:13

It's funny how they have these barren, featureless gardens.

All I could think about photo 5 of the second house was what an absolute fucker it would be to clean those banisters.
