How much of the time is a car going to be parked on it? You might like to think about putting permeable surface down. That you can grow low plants or grass in. In looks nice and also lets rain water soak away.

If you google permeable driveways and click on images you can see lots more. I think they have a softer prettier appearance too than solid driveways.

The cars will be there a lot of the time.
We need a hard wearing surface that looks nice but doesn't need lots of maintenance.
