Chalk paint or clay paint?

Went looking in my local area for annie sloan chalk paint, to recamp my dining table & chairs.
I had no luck, but found a place selling clay paint, the example chairs they had were nice and bright and the guy in the shop was doing a good job at promoting them.
Has any one used either of them or both?
