How much did you pay for your 3/4 bed house and what area isn't in?

Just a light hearted thread. Property interests me.

Buying a 3/4 bed house in Bristol. It's lovely. Clean. Very clean. Lovely garden and space for 2 cars on the drive. We got it for a steal of 150,000 although needs some updating.

Just wondering what everyone else paid in different parts of the country! What area and what condition?

129k but 12 years ago. Large Edwardian semi with a massive garden. Needed a new kitchen, bathroom, re carpeting, full plastering and decoration and a new boiler and new chimneys.

Probably worth 200k now. I suspect we maybe paid a bit over the odds for it but I fell in love.

Wow all these London posts make me go ommmmmmmmggggggg! How does anyone afford to live there lol! I always look at houses I could never afford haha.

I'm guessing south West is pretty low priced although they're going through the roof recently. We were lucky to get in when we did.

Love comparing different parts of the country. I need to visit more parts of the UK!

I got a 1930's 3 bed semi with 90ft garden 18 months ago in Liverpool by a park and the beach in a naice area for £129,950. Needed a new roof, replastering, new front bay windows, bathroom and needs a new kitchen. Nevertheless I was fucking thrilled and still am, as I'm by myself with my son and had been looking for 5 years. Could only do it because my magnificent parents gave me £15k deposit. GrinGrinGrin So lucky!

Klep very lucky hun. We could only afford as we benefited from 95% LTV first time buyer mortgage! That's why I don't mind thatched house needs a little updating as at 150k in Bristol it's a steal! Also thrilled.. Well when we get the keys I think I'll be thrilled. Not so thrilled with the waiting process lol!! Xx

Tutt very lucky. 6 mins from my work. 15-20 mins from town in good traffic! Can't complain. Always wanted to stay south side of Bristol.

We were looking at a property that was 120k but in need of full renovation. Then found this one and got them down from near 160 to 150 as they needed a really quick sell. (I say quick but the solicitors are the long process!) bargain x

4 bed £330k a few months ago in S Cambridgeshire. Is already a bit of a money pit Hmm

Previous place was a 2 bed (and one of those was only a single) worth about £700,000 but bought for £420.000. But that's London where sense has long ago been abandoned.

4 bed detached house with reasonable garden and double garage for £385K in 2008. I live in a tiny rural village on the edge of Dartmoor. Prices on the rise round here but very little affordable housing or smaller starter homes- very difficult to get a foot in the housing ladder here.

Four bed, three storey detached wreck project house with large garden in a West Midlands village (period property in conservation area) - paid 300k in 2014. This was a downsize exercise for us from a more expensive part of the country (South Coast), where our former (six bed) house is now worth around 800k.
