I bought everything for my bathroom off different companies on ebay! the taps were from some company abroad - again on ebay. Great quality and a fraction of the price in the shops.

My few words of advice would be- find someone good to fit it cos even the nicest bathrooms will look terrible if not fitted properly, and a decent tiler!

Mine was from Wickes - redone to sell before I bought it. The loo seat wobbles (not badly fitted, just loose "fittings" to begin with.) The cistern lid doesn't fit and the bath is plastic and creaks like anything.

Can't wait to replace it!

Thanks. I have got a really good builder.
We seem to break loo seats so I'll will probably buy a decent one separately!

Victoria Plumb.

It is not brilliant.

Toilet is an odd shape and has a pathetic flush. The seat they supplied is cheap and nasty.

The sink is ok but the mixer tap has a blue and red dot to indicate temperature which has partially rubbed off Hmm and the overflow hole bit is badly corroded.

Bathroom was fitted in December.

Shower cubicle was a bastard to fit and the instructions awful although an experienced plumber may have not has a much trouble as (very competent and experienced diy-er) dh.

I would never buy any bathroom fitting off the internet again without having seen them in the flesh beforehand.

However we bought a Grohe shower off eBay which is great! Ditto Ikea bathroom cabinets.

Bathstore, it's not great. The shape of the toilet bowl is such that your poo always hits the bowl (sorry, prob tmi!) so it's a bugger to keep clean. And the paint chipped off the toilet seat really early on.

Toilet from ebay (not secondhand!), and it's great, duravit one.
Sink and bath from aston matthews, both lovely.
Bath tap and shower head ebay.
Sink tap from JW Hinton's. If you're in London I highly recommend them.

We'd had a look at all of it in the flesh though, and I wouldn't buy something I hadn't seen.

Ebay is marvellous for bargains, also lots of the major showrooms have bargain sections or entire bargain outlets. If you're not super specific about what you want you can get really good deals there.
