Hi
I urgently need some advice here.
We're planning to move to Epsom/Ewell and saw one property near Horton Park yesterday. We preferred near the station since DH commutes to Waterloo but the houses were either over our budget or too small for us.
Does anyone know about village near Horton park (road name is cavendish walk)? I have two kids in year 2 and year 3 but southfield and stamford green doens't seem to have any space for them and I'm thinking of sending them to Saint Martin which have spaces for both. Does it sound sensible?
That area is not close to any of the train stations so my husband will need to ride a bike or bus to the station.
We quite liked the house itself but are not sure if it's right choice. Also wonder if the price is reasonable for that area(4bed townhouse is priced 600000.)

If you know any small thing about the area please help. Also would like any recommending location.
Thanks!!

My hubby is from Epsom- a village called Stoneleigh. It's about 5 mins drive from Horton. V nice and has trains to Waterloo. Houses a good size :-)

I know the area well - we have friends on and near Cavendish Walk. Lovely place to live, really friendly & community minded. Price is about right.
Lots of people walk to the station from here, it's not too bad if you cross the park.
St Martin is a good school, but I would worry about traffic congestion getting there. Might be worth looking at Danetree if you can't get Southfield Park or Stamford Green, the traffic is a lot better that side of town!
Great place to bring up a family though.

Price sounds about right. It's about 25 mins walk to the station from there, so doable, DH cycles mostly and there are buses (we are nearby!).

Get on the waiting lists for SG and SP, there is some movement most years and once one child is in you will get sibling priority.

Getting them to STM every morning will be a bit of a pain though. Could easily take 30 mins in rush hour.

PatriciaHolm, nice information! Thanks. I'll apply for both school once everything's completed. Can't wait to move!
