My fence is falling down

Our fence is very precarious and always has been. It needs completely replacing. We sold our house in November but won't move for another two weeks as the property we're buying are dragging their feet.
In the recent wind, it's held up by batons. One more gust and its gone. Not even patch fixable. All our money is going on the move.
What do we do? I feel really dishonest not declaring it and neither myself or my husband have the time, or inclination yo do a proper fix.
Can someone be my moral compass?

I would imagine your buyers are already aware that the fencing is no good, either through viewing the property or through their survey and yet they are still buying your house. I wouldn't worry too much, they may have made their offer for your house knowing there were jobs that needed doing.

When did the buyer last visit ? We insisted on having fencing reinstated before exchange.

Thanks. She had a survey but I feel awful leaving her with no fence. I have someone coming to quote on tuesday

I doubt a survey would have commented be way or another. However if the offer was based on integral fencing it would be questionable not to mention subsequent dilapidation. Get the quote and give ea a call. What did your fixtures and fittings form state?
