Does anyone have any recommendations for a bathroom heated towel rail? I have heard it is better to get stainless steel rather than chrome because of rust and bubbling? Looking for one that doesn't cost the earth though. Don't really want to spend more than £250 for a 1000mm x 500mm so my search might be in vain….
It will be used with a combi CH system

A white one will put out more heat (better at radiating).

If you actually need to heat the room then get a radiator and put a rail or hooks above it.

Have a look here:

We've recently refitted our bathroom & the quality's not bad for the price. (We replaced a radiator-with-towel rail with one of those tall ladder things - I didn't know they're not actually radiators confused)

We have a tall ladder radiator and a reasonably sized bathroom. It keeps it warm enough for us. I assume ours is chrome rather than SS as it does have a few small rust spots on the back (it's 5 years old) - presumably from where the towels hang in summer when the heating's not on.
