Vinyl Tiles?

We are helping to sort out the in laws ready to sell and need to replace some flooring on a very small budget.
Thinking about vinyl tiles for the bathroom.
Does anyone have any hints or tips for laying them and know where we can buy cheaply? Looked at all the normal places online.
Thanks

How big is the room? It is worth seeing if you can get offcuts or remnants of vinyl roll flooring - I did that for my first place.

(Remnants are cheaper)

We are edging towards tiles as we have no fitting experience and the bathroom is an odd shape with corner bath and beeday (sp? Never written that before!) as well as normal toilet sinks ect.

Easy peasy but do a chequerboard design as it hides any gaps in fitting. I've done all my bathrooms and the utility in vinyl tiles and the chequerboard rooms look vastly more professional.

I got gerflor tiles from eBay, but I think Homebase do plain black and white ones too.
