Any decorators out there?

I can't believe I have been so stupid!! I had some matt deluxe heritage paint mixed, have painted two walls ...... and it is silk (obviously I didn't check the tin).

I don't like silk at all and have matt or super matt everywhere else (old house completely replastered over the last few years).

I know that I can sand it and re-paint with matt but would really rather not have the mess of sanding if possible, everything else is completely and utterly finished, this was my last room (no doors to stop the mess, people coming to stay next week, major exam for me in ten days, etc., etc..).

Can I paint it with Zinssers Bullseye 123 and then paint it with matt?

I will e-mail them and ask them but would like to do it tomorrow if I can as it is revision only for me after this weekend and I am desperate to get the furniture back into that room.

DH (painter & decorator) says just give it 2 coats of the matt. Should be fine

Not a decorator but I picked up satin once and did a wall before I noticed.

I just painted straight over with two coats of matt as Stoorie says and it was fine. Very annoying but fine.
