Anyone got rubber flooring in their bathroom?

I'm looking for a suitable surface for new bathroom in loft conversion. I like the eco credentials of rubber (but have actually never seen a rubber flooring in a bathroom), it would be nice to hear from someone who's tried it. I'm thinking about a smooth sheet, not the type with "bobbles". Thanks

I've had it in a previous house and it was brilliant. Always go for smooth stuff, the bobbles are an absolute nightmare to keep clean ie you can't. The smooth rubber is great when you have small children, they don't hurt themselves when they fall over on it (not that it's particularly slippery) and you don't break things when you drop them. And it's pretty warm underfoot. It wasn't the cheapest option though, think it was about £50/m2.

We have rubber with bobbles. No problem keeping it clean but it is like an ice rink when wet. Bloody nightmare.

We have a rubber copy with bubbles. In bathroom and downstairs loo. Never, ever again. Its absolutely awful to keep clean, bits of fluff, the almost invisible dust-like stuff from tissue etc just 'sticks' to it. Its horrid. If we could afford to replace it, would rip it out tomorrow.

Thanks everyone, it is really valuable having your experience. Sorry about the bobbles- I work in a hospital where there is that kind of flooring. Even when it s mopped down on a daily basics, it never looks clean.
