Has anyone installed a wood stove into a house that doesn't have a chimney - but by running a flute outside of the house?

If yes, how much did it all cost?

Just had quotes in for this ranging from £1500 to £2300 for the flue and fitting not including the stove itself.

Ours was about £2000 including fitting without the fire too.

We have no chimney in the lounge but do in the chimney in the bedroom above so we are planning on a free standing one to connect to that. Here's the quote I've got so far.

1- Cover work area with dust sheets
2- Open up chimney in lounge
3- Supply and install a twin wall flue liner inc chimney pot and cowl
4- Supply and install a shaped stone hearth
5- Install and test the stove inc matching flue pipe
6- Fit CO detector and issue HETAS certificate
7- Make good all plaster work and fit decorative trims
8- Remove all rubbish from work site

£1120-00 excluding stove

Ours cost 3,600, though 1500 of that was the stove and 200 for the hearth (we had a reinforced glass one). If you get a cheaper model the price will come down accordingly.

That's sort off what I expected. Does anyone live in a townhouse? I'm guessing ours may be pricier as it would have to go past the second floor...
