Sink is totally blocked, washing maching water is emptying up through the sink as has nowhere else to go. Have taken apart all the pipes and ubend i can see and no blockage.

Have used a plunger, have used Mr Muscle drain unblocker and tried soda crystals.

Have waited in for two days for a plumber to call me back and nothing.

Any magic tricks?

Have you looked outside where the pipe from the sink empties into the drain? Is it blocked there? It sounds as though the blockage is further down and the volume of water from the washing machine emptying is what is making it come up into the sink.

Could you take the pipes apart and fish into the pipe that goes outside with an unbent wire coat hanger? If you can, you might be able to push whatever is causing the problem out.

It sounds as though it is a physical object rather than a build up of grease if neither soda crystals (with boiling water?) or drain unblocker have worked.

These things are good, when the liquids and crystals don't work...

does the waste pipe go to a gulley outside the wall, or into a 100mm plastic or iron soil pipe? In a corner of the kitchen or outside?

Does the water drain slowly away, or not at all?

Are there any visible inspection covers or manholes outside?

Have you got any other ground-floor sinks or WCs, and are they draining?
