House clearance non-recycable

I need to get rid of some old furniture The Council no longer does this so who does?

A house clearance company? They might even give you some a piddling amount of money for it.

if the furniture is still useable there are some charities around who may take it away and give to people in need. Depends how old it is - if sofas are too old they don't have the safety kite mark on and I don't think anyone would take it then.

Freecycle? Online recycling group - there'll be one in your area.

Charities tend to be quite fussy about the condition of stuff if they plan to sell it.

Also wood recycling projects take stuff - depends what it is.

Facebook local selling group - judging by the thread on here earlier this week people will put any old junk on those although not sure anyone 'll buy it "hun" Smile

Most house clearers you have to pay for.
