Garage to kitchen

Hi all, I'm looking at buying a property with the intention of converting the attached garage of 5m x 2.4 into a kitchen. I live in the midlands and have no idea of the cost of this. I know the garage has electricity in it and a solid concrete floor. I am hoping to use the carcasses from the current kitchen and changing the front doors, in the hope of keeping costs down Please could you share your experiences, costs and any helpful information. Thank you.

Sorry it would also need a double upvc window put in, the door taking of and bricking up, and a door out in leading to the hall.

We are in the middle of doing this and it is expensive due to the insulation you need to add - loads - I think it has to conform to current building regs for a new build. We have to line our floor too and that is with underfloor heating.

We also have to level off ceiling heights. I've just looked at the builder quote and the total comes to £30k. But that includes several new high performance windows, tiling, decoration etc. (But excluding the actual kitchen).

Integral garage conversion is about. £6,000 and then the fitting out on top. The £6,000 gives you window, door to house, plastered, etc and ready to decorate as you want.

Thank you for your replies. The house is 15 years old so hopefully as the garage is in good condition it won't cost as much as 30,000.
