Coloured shutters

I really love coloured shutters, like these . However, they are expensive! Even the DIY ones. Would you just stick to white or cream? Or just go for it? I really like Kelly Hoppen's in black see the bedroom onesbut wondering if coloured shutters would last and not be too trendy?

I have never found cheap shutters! Unfortunately. Just get the ones which are well made and suit you. Personally I would have neutral ones as they go with any colour scheme. As they are expensive, you won't want to be changing them. I would go with coloured cushions, accessories and maybe a rug. All cheaper than coloured shutters.

Thanks Milly. I am thinking about ordering the shutters from the USA. www.californiashutters.co.uk/ have a USA website and it's over £100 cheaper per sqm! So for three windows thats a huge huge saving ..probably about £600 saving for me. I'm going to use a postal redirect company that will receive my package and send it to the UK. There will be VAT and customs to pay but i reckon I'll still save in the order of hundreds.
