Is your bath a comfortable read-a-book-in-it bath?

If so, what type of bath do you have? And where did you get it? I'm trying to buy a reasonably priced bath, but I'm not sure where to find a comfortable bath. Most the ones I've tried have felt uncomfortable, but I'm not sure if that is because they have no water in, or because they are uncomfortable! So, any recommendations on comfortable baths would be appreciated. Thanks!

yes - we bought one with a wide back rest section, rather than a silly designer thing which has a rounded profile which makes you hunch your shoulders. Paid about £150 all in.

the catalogues show the profile of the bath interior so have a look at that. Also you want one that doesn't hold ridiculously huge amounts of water, and side grips are always good even if you are not yet old.

it would help if I could find a link for you, I will research over the weekend!

We got one shaped like this, it's really comfy. A flat sloping back, and taps at the side.

We rented a holiday cottage a couple of years ago where the bathroom had this fab looking slipper-type bath. Really gorgeous and romantic.

Turned out to be the most uncomfortable bath ever.

this isn't where I got it from, but I think this is the right one:

Ours is L shaped but has a sloping back like the one Emzar posted - it's v comfortable when I use my bath cushion with it.

as an aside, stayed in a Premier Inn recently and while the bed was brilliant, the bath completely failed the good book test. It did indeed have a rounded end so you couldn't lean back on it, to do so was painful.

a good way of ensuring no-one dozes off in the bath!
