Where to live Tonbridge?

We are thinking of moving to Tonbridge and I'm looking for advice regarding the primary schools.

Ideally, we are looking for a house within one mile from the station that's in the catchment area for a good primary.

Some of the research I've done shows a lot of troubled schools in the area but I know that reports don't show the whole picture.

Can anyone tell me about the primary schools in Tonbridge or suggest areas we might want to start looking at for a house?

Leigh seems nice to me. Have a friend who recently moved there. Lots of young families, it seems.

I live in Tonbridge and while I don't have DCs yet, woodlands school seems to have the better reputation round here. its about 2 miles from the station.

I would advise you to be mindful of which house you buy near the station as the area around there flooded. Some of the houses that we viewed last year flooded in the recent floods so it was a lucky for us.

We bought our house in north tonbridge and only a 15mins bus ride away to the station. It really just depends on what you are looking for. good luck in your search.

Hello!

Have you thought if Hildenborough? It's just outside Tonbridge but has it's own train station with direct trains to London. Stocks Green primary school I believe is a good one. Leigh is also nice.

Thank you for your replies, it gives me somewhere to start looking.

My DP may be happy to have a longer commute if it means we are nearer a good school.
