White or chrome plug socket covers for kitchen above work surfaces?

Would like a new kitchen but for assorted reasons we can't do that at the moment.
For now we are going to have the old tatty tiles replaced with new ones but I'm not sure what to do about the plug socket covers.

The cupboards and work surfaces are white and the new tiles are a very pale blue. There are quite a lot of sockets...five double covers plus a cooker master switch and one other strange switch of unknown by me function.

Would shiny chrome look better/ smarter or white as they will stand out less against the tiles?

What are you light fittings and door handles made of?

The cupboard doors are chrome handled, the door has an old brass handle but we might replace that. Tap is shiny chrome too.
Generally in a room I would always go for metal socket covers but wonder if white would blend in better with the pale tiles. Or just look cheap?!

I think chrome would look better.

Stainless steel with black contacts (you can also get white)

We have stainless steel with white tiles, looks lovely. We have Chrome everywhere and they are an F**king nightmare with fingerprints. The stainless steel don't show any !

We have chrome everywhere BUT above worktops. We went for high quality Matt white as our walls are wimborne white and it looks much better than chrome (which we tried). The Matt finish is high end and very unobtrusive. We have a lot of sockets so chrome would have looked very bitty and noticeable at many points around the wall.

Lulu that is the same problem - there are five double sockets plus three other switch ones.
What make are the sockets you went for?

White.
GET Ultimate are good and have screw covers so blend nicely into the background.

Maybe brushed chrome with white contacts like these? Brushed chrome doesn't show fingerprints.

screwfix
