Best colours for rooms with little natural light

All the bedrooms in our new house only get late afternoon sun (very little in winter then). They are all painted white at the minute but really want to get ds (6) and dd's (7) rooms painted this spring. Was thinking along the traditional blue and pink colour schemes (mainly because the accessories they currently have are in these colours) but would love advice on shades that wouldn't been too cold or dark.

dulux light + space do cotton breeze blue and Jasmine shimmer pink ish colour ?! they might help keep it brighter - also change your light builds to daylight bulbs - have one daylight bulb on during the day in a lamp that throws a good amount of light out into the room !
