Here's the link:

I like elements of it, I would like to see the kitchen though.

What does everyone think?

The dining rooms are horrid - too much fussy pattern. But I like the simplicity and classic nature of the rest of the house...

Too many of the garden (which is lovely, to be fair) Bit busy for me in keeping with him and the style of house, I think

IAmOwedMoney Tue 18-Feb-14 14:22:24

I saw this the other day it was in the Mail. He has a lot of dining options. He has his style and likes it, who ever is going to buy it will do their own thing.

The house is lovely, the decor is vile.

Clawdy Tue 18-Feb-14 16:00:33

Far too formal, especially that gloomy sitting room. Not really a home. Lovely garden though.

Is there a miniature Elizabeth I in the corner by the bed? I'm on my phone and can't see clearly.

How long has this been on the market? Pictures seem to be taken in the summer!

TheReluctantCountess Tue 18-Feb-14 17:35:14

It is lovely, except the dining rooms -- they are far too busy.

Mrswellyboot Tue 18-Feb-14 17:36:24

I love it! Fair enough it's a bit ott but he is being true to himself and that's his style.

I love the rococo mirrors but one would be enough for me

Perfectlypurple Tue 18-Feb-14 17:39:19

Love the outside. The inside could be lovely if it was decorated nicer.

ihatethecold Tue 18-Feb-14 17:41:02

The house is amazing

The decor is truly terrible.

joanofarchitrave Tue 18-Feb-14 17:43:13

The garden is wonderful. The house is so wonderful I mentally fell to my knees looking at it. I loathe all the decor, particularly hateful sitting room, and would be unable to sit down in the house. The small panelled room is the best. But presumably he liked it.

The bedroom is incredibly 70s, perhaps he's older than I think.

TunipTheUnconquerable Tue 18-Feb-14 17:44:44

I love it blush

I specially like the painted landscape in the bedroom.

I have no taste, do I?

RedPencils Tue 18-Feb-14 17:50:05

Some of the wallpaper is a bit OTT, and would look wierd with my plain stuff. I like it

The garden is amazing.

Hassled Tue 18-Feb-14 17:53:33

I like the gloomy sitting room. It's actually way less over-the -top than I'd have imagined.

vickibee Tue 18-Feb-14 17:55:18

If I had a home this beautiful I wouldn't be selling it

bigkidsdidit Tue 18-Feb-14 17:57:57

I love it! Not the decor, but be house and garden are so beautiful. Compared to that horrible box in London someone linked to recently that was 1.5 million because it was near tiffins! Amazing.

YouLoveItDoreen Tue 18-Feb-14 17:58:29

I want the gardens!
Can I just buy the gardens? grin

The decor is a bit too much in some places, but it is in fabulous condition so it would be easy to change the interior.

I wonder what their next house looks like, before and after!

Purplehonesty Tue 18-Feb-14 18:40:36

I love it.
Would have to buy a shed load of white paint tho!
Fab house decor OTT

AliceinWinterWonderland Tue 18-Feb-14 19:35:51

The dining rooms practically make your eyes bleed. But I like the room with the high beams and the blue décor.

HermioneWeasley Tue 18-Feb-14 19:38:24

I like the bedrooms

pinkdelight Tue 18-Feb-14 23:27:17

What on earth do you do in the room in picture 8? Walk around the table, admiring the vases, taking care not to knock them off or burn your arse on the fire???

Quinteszilla Tue 18-Feb-14 23:32:27

Pink - it is his Ai Weiwei Impersonation ...

LondonGirl83 Tue 18-Feb-14 23:32:38

Pic 8 is the entrance hall!
