Hello all. I've just moved into a house and got a lovely set of burgundy leather sofas but I am struggling to find a wall colour to match them. I tried Dulux Timeless but it looks too white next to the sofas and the curtains/carpet doesnt seem to match. There is nothing in the room except the sofas and I dont think it gets too much natural light so I thought I would try a light creamy colour but I think I failed (I should have bought brown or white sofas!). The room is quite large (5mx6m roughly) and I'd like to keep the curtains if possible as these were custom made.
A couple of photos are here:

What furniture would you use? Pine furniture kind of rustic looking? Or maybe black glass with chrome to match the legs of the sofas? A white rug maybe? White/Red wallpaper as a feature wall? I am lost really. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

caramel walls might work well ? as there's grey in the curtains you could have a spot of grey too - maybe caramel and grey scatter cushions ?! I would suggest sticking with more modern furniture to match the modern sofas - you could go for grey painted walls - but it's very in right now - which means it will be very out sometime soon !

I would put some colour on the walls - it's a big room and the carpet is light so the room can take it. Dulux Gooseberry Fool is a lovely soft green which would work well with an autumn range of colours and would be quite adaptable. You could brighten it all up with some burnt orange, or keep somethings more neutral with cream texture. But I think the sofas would soften a bit with more colour on the walls.

I would agree with betterwhenthesunshines, go for a colour! Perhaps a vivid, warm-toned blue? Although I like the suggestion of soft green.

If I were you I would have a good look around on Apartment Therapy which is my favourite website ever, loads of great inspiration. And no, I don't work for Apartment Therapy, just love interior design and I think the home and flat tours are brill Grin

Would you consider changing the ceiling lights? Maybe add some wall lights in a contemporary style.

I think you need some bright bold wallpaper, maybe just on the fireplace wall or two opposite walls and paint the other two in a contrasting colour
That material/paper you have on the floor is a perfect match to your sofas, so maybe something like that It would certainly cosy it up a bit.
