Help me choose bathroom flooring

So, for a relatively big family bathroom, mostly for kids' use, probably with mostly white sanitary ware, would you go for:

1. Coloured vinyl like this. We actually already have this in our current shower room - in a kind of lilac shade and it is nice to walk on, easy to clean, and I really like having a coloured floor with white walls and sanitary ware.
   

1. These vinyl tiles I really like the look of them, but don't know anything about vinyl tiles and how good they are for bathrooms
   

1. Woven vinyl flooring - it is supposed to be waterproof, non-slip, easy to clean and nice to walk on; I like the look of the samples I have, but haven't seen any in real life. Does anyone have any experience of it?
   

Or anything else you'd recommend?! I don't fancy tiles - I know they could be nice and warm with UFH but DCs are always slipping and falling over on our current ones.

The vinyl tiles are my favourite, they're gorgeous.

How are you supposed to wash the vinyl flooring in your third option??? I'd need some convincing that that was a viable bathroom option!

But I think you could get something similar quite a bit cheaper and still similar quality to the first one... We did out our whole bathroom in coloured vinyl that we picked up as a remnant from a local flooring shop for the grand total of £9 which I then fitted myself! (Make a template out of newspaper stuck together, draw around room on newspaper, lay newspaper template on vinyl and cut out and glue with glue from flooring shop...).

Depends on your budget I guess :)

No 3 is out then! I do like the coloured options better looking through them again.

Good point fairylea - we were recommended that company by architect when building our extension for this house, and considering we were only covering just over 1 sqm of floor, it wasn't too pressing to seek out cheaper alternatives but defo should have a look around as will be a bigger area this time round.

I like the first two but I would be a bit wary of a plain colour floor unless you are very good at cleaning as they show every speck of dirt/hair/fluff etc.
A patterned or mottled vinyl is much more forgiving.
I wanted to have the tiles for my kitchen but it was too expensive, they are lovely though.
I have also bought remnants before, one was lovely quality and cost me £20 for the vinyl then I just paid the fitter to do the rest.

Someone else suggested number 3 to me and I discounted it straight away.

Have to say that having looked at the last link that woven flooring does look good.

I have the Harvey Maria 'grass'tiles in my kitchen and it's awesome!! Doesn't show any dirt. I'm often amazed when I do sweep up how much was on the floor

We have the petals version in my DDs bathroom. Perfectly fine but the paler colour shows the joins, more so over time. The darker grass doesn't show anything, joins, food (especially peas) nothing at all. Not as in your face as you might think. But looks so real our cars were trying to scratch in it for ages. No harm done. It's tough as nails

Oh, I've been coveting those Neisha Crosland tiles for my bathroom for ages! Love them - but love the petrol blue vinyl sheet too. Agree with you about coloured floor and white sanitary ware being a great combination. Not keen on the woven version - can imagine bits of goodness knows what getting stuck in them.

We currently have amtico vinyl floor tiles in white glitter. I love them but I think I like your option 1 more.

We are in a very similar position and have had a very similar short list. In fact, we were totally sold on number 3! It is practical, good-looking, and would be comfy under-foot. HOWEVER, it is ££££. Cost including fitting would be over £600 for our average sized bathroom.

We have put down a piece of plain coloured vinyl in our cloakroom. We didn't get it from that particular company, but it was a shade of "Forbo Novilon Sarlon Uni" from Burts Vinyl flooring shop. Almost identical to colour flooring co, but a bit cheaper. Posters above are correct, it does show up any tiny bits of muck. Not sure I'd like it in the main bathroom - am not that tidy.

We've also looked at Harvey Maria, and at the moment I think we are going to go with the pale, wood-effect, "Lunar" tiles because they are on sale at the moment (and we've had sample which was nice). However, I do like the ones you've linked above, and would have those if our house was more traditional.

It depends a lot on what is under it. I would hesitate to have anything in tile format - vinyl tiles will either start to come up, or else need super strength glue to keep them from doing so.

And edges, as someone else mentioned - you would see them over time.

So no to vinyl tiles.

The solid colour is good, can't see how thick it is but the thicker the better.

The last one is unfathomable - if you can see yourself cleaning vomit out of that woven stuff you're a better woman than I

chocolatehelps I think you are brave (in a good way!) having the grass and petals ones - I saw them and didn't even consider as I couldn't visualise it, but would love to be a bit bolder in my decorating choices. Good to know the HM tiles are tough!

The woven vinyl sells itself as easy to clean so I had blithely assumed it just would be - I have some samples so perhaps I should rub in some calpol, dirt etc. (probably wouldn't go so far as to induce vomit specially of the purposes of testing!) and see how it goes. Although as I say I have rather gone off that one.

Oh yes and Karndean - have seen a lot of love for the Karndean on these boards; I checked out the website but couldn't see anything I particularly liked. Is there any particular reason people like it so much?

I've got the plain vinyl (different colour) in a small bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. It's ok upstairs but I'll be changing it downstairs pretty soon. Shows every speck of dirt and any hair dye accidents Also, you can't get any rust marks out - metal bins getting wet etc. Plus, it's not very cushioned so you'd need some sort of underlay with it, I think. But I assume you know all that as you say you have it already.
