Customise/replace front of ikea cabinets with reclaimed wood panels

Hello, i would like to instal an Ikea kitchen and customise it so that I basically use their structure (which is great value) but change the doors of the cabinets. In particular I was thinking using some reclaimed wood panels to give it a bit of a more rough/rustic look.
I know where to find the cabinets and where to source the wood but I was wondering:

  • has anyone done something similar?
  • would anyone know of a good joiner in London that could help put this together?

Many thanks!
Caro

Have you checked out the ikea Norje oak doors? It's quite rough and rustic looking in real like , I'm putting it on my kitchen just now and it's really gorgeous in the flesh.

this might help - it's about customising ikea with custom made doors !

if you google 'custom made doors for ikea cabinets' it gives you a few options to choose from etc !!
