Good grief - a £45m house. MN property porn reaches another level...

But I can't help feeling slightly disappointed by it. Definitely wouldn't spend £45m on that.

Not much of a garden!

And this one, a mere snip at just under £40m but for goodness sake, there are barely any windows!!

Rooms just for the sake of it! I could not live there.

oh dear, I see what you mean, it's very...erm....beige, isn't it.

the stripey curtains look straight out of dunelm mill!

Don't fancy a flat then?

Bishops Avenue delivers much better value for money.

Omg the flat wins! £68m for a flat?! How can that ever be a wise buy???

I'd rather have a £10m country estate and a helicopter to get me to London in minutes. Plus £58m change.

It's absolutely mind-boggling.

True, but I think the bedroom and ensuite would give me a migraine.

Photo 24 of the Bishops Ave one - the carpet is so institutional. Looks like a big chain hotel room in a bad way.

I love the way the Bishop's Avenue house has an entire photo dedicated to the wine rack....and another with a misty-focussed shot of a semi-naked statue....also it's described as "newly extended". Because 11,000 square feet just isn't enough.....

That flat is just nasty
I didn't think Russian oligarchs would have to spend their time looking on Rightmove, really

I'd rather have this one a snip of a price! Nice area too I've been there.

I notice in the house in the original post, the £45m one, that the chess set in the library is set up wrongly. Shows that money doesn't buy class.

This house is amazing, but needs lots of work: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-36924496.html Bet it sells for less than the £65m asking price, so negotiate yourself a bargain Wink Hmm

In Bishops Ave is the bath on the terrace? The floor plan looks like it is.

And the flat has 2 ensuites to the master bedroom Confused

I like htat first one!
Depressing thought that even if it was given to me outright, I couldn't afford to furnish it.

The bathrooms at Bishops Avenue look like they're bleeding.

That, on the other hand, is my dream house. Bit of work required to turn it into a proper home, and doubtless I'd need a few servants to properly fill it, but how gorgeous...also, doesn't everyone need their own chapel?
