Property/DIY

Good job I wasn't there or it'd have knocked me block off!

I've just got in to find the kitchen cupboard has fallen from the wall while I was out and trashed my kitchen as it fell.

I have two questions that I was rather hoping you lovely MNers would be able to answer:

  1. I live in a rented house, so is it the landlord's responsibility to fix it?

  1. If not, how the hell do I fix it??? I doubt I could lift it on my own and have no partner and no friends close by. Plus I'm not very good at DIY.

I'd make a cup of tea to cheer myself up, but I can't find the kettle. Sad

If it wasn't overloaded then I can't see how it's your fault so I would ring your Landlord. Was anything broken?

Exact thing happened to us in the middle of the night. Twas scary. Smashed plates, jars , glass everywhere. Landlord immediately took responsibility and had it fixed.

No thankfully nothing broken, but rice and flour everywhere!

Thanks, I will ring my landlord then, so relived I don't have to fix it myself!

God knows, I've lived here over a year and it's always been fine.

Maybe there's a ghost Grin
