Solar Wall Lights

Should I bother? We have a corner of the house outside where the decking is - we don't sit out there too often so I don't want to go to the cost of installing electric lights BUT no point buying the Solar wall lights if they are useless! Oh we also barbeque out there and I literally cannot see the bbq at the moment!

All the solar lights I've had have been too dim to be of any use whatsoever.
