What do people think of this kitchen style?

I am (probably) going to have this kitchen design fitted. It's at mates' rates as we've put a lot of business the guy's way in the past (used to have our own developing business).

House is a large but uninspiring 70's box. It's our house, BTW, not a project.

Long and messy link - sorry! Should pop out of google images page: if not, it appears on 3rd row down, 2nd across on my view.

Kinda pale brown stripy wood bits and shiny white.

Beautiful kitchen design, not sure about stripy wood. Looks a bit...busy. May work if you stick to the colour scheme shown in the pics, all pale surfaces, white walls...

I love it. I'm into european, modern, clean, but warm interiors....if you get what I mean!

70's houses are actually really good family houses and great for revamping and making your own, particularly if you like the above style.

I like it now, but I think it would date quite quickly.

I'm also not minimalist enough to keep everything free of clutter surrounding it so it looks like that iyswim. Clean and modern and nice to look at now but it wouldn't work as a functional design for me.

Yes - I am unsure of the stripes and z bit worried about it dating.

Tidiness I can do. And I really think the boxy lines suit the boxiness of the house iykwim.

I agree with LikeBirds, I feel that will look pretty dated within a matter of years. Do you know what your long term plans are with the house?

I think it is lovely. TBH I think shaker kitchens look dated but people still put them into their homes. I say if you love it then go for it.

It's quite nice but I think it'll date quite quickly but then what doesn't.

Really like it but think it will date. Probably depends how much you are spending/ how long you want it to last. Think it's perfect for a 70s box (which I rather like).
