IKEA Foto Pendant Light

We've bought these to use throughout our house and have just had one fitted so we can decide if they're definitely the right choice. Try as we/the electrician might we cannot get the ceiling rose bit to sit flush to the ceiling. There are two plastic insert bits inside the metal rose that you fit to the ceiling - one of these comes out & makes the light fit better but no amount of squashing/squeezing etc seems to get the other bit to sit right. I've tried fiddling with one of our unfitted ones too but have the same problem.

If any of you have these lights hopefully this
will make sense. Am even more hopeful that some wise person on here has managed to fit these 'properly' & can pass on their wisdom.

We have some of these. I think the answer is, that you can't make them fit like you think they should! Ours has an outer metal bit, then a middle plastic insert and another plastic bit inside this. As far as we've been able to work out, the outer metal bit and the bigger plastic insert are just not designed to fit flush with the ceiling. In fact I recently saw some lights of a very similar design and they were like this too. I think it's just the way they're supposed to be. Certainly they look fine to me now!

Thanks for replying. I really like the light - will just have to decide if I'm happy with the fit! Our ceilings are quite low so maybe that's why I'm being so fussy.
