Which house?

So having lost out on our perfect house recently, we're trying to now decide between two which are slightly imperfect. The first is great downstairs with a grest kichen/diner but too small upstairs with 3 bedrooms and one full bathroom but definitely scope for loft conversion and possibly splitting bathroom into ensuite and smaller family barroom. The other house has been extended above the garage so has 4 bedrooms, one with ensuite and a bathroom but has a small kitchen and just feels quite small downstairs. Both are on nice streets with south fsc

Oops-hit wrong button.

Both have largish, south-facing gardens and will need a fair bit of cosmetic work.

Which is easier, to extend downstairs or to do a loft conversion? We would need to wait to do the work anyway so an leaning towards the big downstairs house but thought I'd canvas opinions Grin

Big downstairs. Bedrooms can be tiny but you will always appreciate enough communal space

Yes, that's my thinking, it is a really nice extension too. Thanks.

I say house 1 too, living space is needed more than floor space in the bedrooms.

I would also say the house no.1, unless you can convert the garage to the extra living space in an easy way?
