Reupholstery cost for 3 seater sofa?

Hi, Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how much it would cost to reupholster an old three-seater sofa? I would probably source the fabric myself. TIA

I had quotes for a single large armchair for £300, but ia m south east.

I was quoted £1000 to recover a 3 sweater chesterfield that's without the fabric cost. Must be all those buttons...!

£1000! Think i may have to rethink that one. Looking at both quotes it sounds like £900-1000 will be norm, eek!!

We paid £3000 about 4 years ago for 2 three seater sofas.
We did have 2 lots of seat covers made (in our experience it is always the seat covers that fail while the rest of the sofa looks fine) and 2 lots of arm cap covers too. Haven't got the spares out of the bag yet.
The upholsterer also provided new foam for the seat cushions.
The upholsterer did a totally amazing job and the sofas looked and still look fantastic.
It would have cost us more than this to buy the equivalent sofas and the upholsterer said it would have been a travesty to have chucked them out as the frames were very good quality.
