wooden floor after woodworm treatment

In the process of doing other work and chucked out dead carpets from previous occupier to find quite a bit of woodworm damage in the attic so just had it treated. I'd like to oil, wax or varnish the floorboards rather than put hardboard and fitted carpet down again but probably need to avoid sanding them as they've now been coated in chemicals. Please advise!

Slightly off post but I would be interested to find out about your woodworm treatment Isabeller.

Recently moved into old house and had to cut a hatch into loft for new electrics and there seems to be lots of woodwork up there, I'm hoping it's old and not active anymore, but would be interested to know how much it costs to treat and what is involved.

Thank you PigletJohn, it was Tritec 121 plus I think.

soonbesailing I found the woodworm when I took up the old carpet and hardboard in the attic. I took cleared all the carpet and hardboard and (spent a long time pulling out the nails that had been holding the hardboard down). I got as much out of the room as possible and stacked up what was left to give maximum access to the floorboards.

As I understand it the chemical was sprayed between the joists and applied to the top surface of the floorboards, everything was thoroughly soaked and we were advised to stay out of the house for at least an hour after treatment.

It is a small terraced house, quote for one floor was £500 including independent insurance.
