Design Advice - Fitted Wardrobes

I am having two banks of cupboards built into the small room next to my bedroom.

I had planned for mirrored sliding doors on each side but there is not quite enough depth for sliding doors on one side of the room.

My question is - would it be odd to have one side with sliding doors and one side with hinged doors? Does anyone else have this - does it look ok. or is it better to be fully matching on both sides.
