Any experience of Quick-Step or Aqua-Step on a bathroom floor

We are looking for flooring for the bathroom - family bathroom to be used mainly by a 6yr old and 4yr old. We're looking for white-washed wood effect.

One flooring shop recommended Aqua-Step but it looked a bit too plasticky.

Another shop recommended Quick-Step saying it is not waterproof but would be OK.

Does anyone have any experience of these products?

I did use Quick Step whitewashed effect once in the bathroom to match the other rooms upstairs but it didn't last thanks to splashy teenage daughters! I now have black slate tile effect laminate from B&Q. It was easy to lay and still looks fab.

I currently have just chipboard down on my bathroom floor (elegant emoticon). Just to we get the floor laid. It shows every splash and puddle created by my 4 & 6 year old. A lot. Even just on teeth and face-cloth nights. Let us not discuss bathnights.

It needs to be waterproof. You do not want to spend the next x years shouting "stop splashing".

Am guessing the person who said "not waterproof but it would be OK" was
a) someone with no children
b) someone who never bathed children or
c) someone who has forgotten the water-spreading abilities of children.

We had Quick Step Laguna (walnut) in our last house, and I plan to put it in the bathroom in our new house too (oak this time). It looks gorgeous and it has rubber strips between the planks so that it's waterproof and also makes it non slip. I don't know if there is a white one. It's a complete bastard to fit though. The builder that fit our old bathroom spent the whole day swearing and when he had finished he said that if we were planning on fitting any more of it anywhere could we please get someone else to do it!

Well it got wet and the white effect started to come off and the planks were beginning to warp. When I took the flooring up it was damp underneath too. I would definitely stick to a laminate that says it is designed for bathrooms.

Quick Step Lagune here too - in oak - love it and although hard to say as its only been down 6 months but so far so good! If you have it installed correctly with the sealant then they guarantee it for 10 years I think?

Not sure you will like the colours though - maybe the grey ish teak? Don't remember any light colours.

I have now requested samples for about 5 types of waterproof laminate having been convinced that quick-step won't do.

we recently had our bathroom fitted with wood effect vinyl.. sounds like it should be pants, but actually it's fantastic as it's so easy to clean, doesn't get slippy (even when soaked by boys) and was soo much cheaper than alternatives..
Looked at quick step (massively expensive to fit in our huge bathroom) and laminate (warps too easily - even bathroom specific types)

We also have the quick step grey teak in ship deck effect and it looks amazing!!!

There's a karndean in white washed wood effect that looks lovely, we're considering it for our bathroom.

I moved into a brand new ground floor unit in Sydney, and the water pipes burst after 2 weeks and flooded my entire unit with with 30 mls of water.
I had installed Aquastep and so thankfull for that. The builder was amazed that there was no damage. Took a while for the underlay to dry out (drag) but the end result was no damage. And it looks great.

I had wood effect vinyl (rhinofloor) through the splashy years and it was fab! Cheap too, so happy to pull it up & replace with same after 8 years when rest of bathroom updated.
