We are currently doing an extension to create a small but functioning sitting/dining room. The sitting room will only be about 4x4 meters and I've seen a lovely Laura Ashley carpet [[ http://www.brintons.co.uk/uk/choosing-a-carpet/view/-/carpet/laura-ashley-collection-by-brintons-lilac-wisteria#carpetDetails]]Its actually much prettier than in the picture, but its £80 a square metre! I would spend that if it wasn't for the two small children and my clumsy self stares at tea stain on new carpetAnyway, my question is has anyone seen anything similar at a fraction of the price ?I've trawled the internet but with no luck.
www.brintons.co.uk/uk/choosing-a-carpet/view/-/carpet/laura-ashley-collection-by-brintons-lilac-wisteria#carpetDetailsSorry, creating a link when on app doesn't work and my * are missing grrr
Uh, it's £85 on that link! Just under £59 here: www.hammondhill.co.uk/Brintons_Carpets_Lau_product_56_37_12_0_4367.htmThat was a cursory look typing in 'laura ashley carpet lilac' to google...
Thanks! It was 80 in an independent shop near me.That price is a bit more bearable but was really looking for a similar.type carpet but much cheaper
So I see, now I re-read the op (I'm sleep deprived and getting a lot of stuff arse about face lately!) If I get a mo this evening I'll see what I can find in the darkest corners of t'internet
Could you maybe get a small rug made from the carpet you like an put on something neutral?
I can't seem to find anything (although haven't looked very hard) but fishfingers' idea might be worth some thought. I'm wondering if a patterned, or busy, carpet may be a little too much for a smaller room to take?
I had a sample of this carpet and left it in the dining room on the floor for a couple of months before making a decision. It didn't wear well so I didn't bother going for it. It's a beautiful carpet though.
That's great info. I'm not spending 60-70 on a carpet that doesn't wear well!Room sized rug it is then
