We are renovating our bungalow and have two new ensuites in the loft to fit out, as well as the ground floor bathroom (but that's becoming a bit of an afterthought as I feel the pressure of all the other decisions I have to make...).

I have three undermounted sinks and have bought a dark wood Hemnes vanity unit from ikea for our ensuite (going to add my own chrome handles) and the oak Godmorgon one for my sons. Nothing yet for downstairs (in denial about xmas and guests needing to use toilet downstairs). I'm hoping to use some off cuts of the kitchen worktop to fit over the sinks, with an upstand. It is a white quartz with grey veining like Carrara marble.

I'm really struggling with choosing tiles but have come up with a design I think will work for the main ensuite and would be really grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of something that would work. Have very little experience of buying tiles. I'm going to go for painted walls (since most of them slope at some point) in a warm grey, taupey colour, and floor tiles in white with grey veining to go with the vanity unit top with a similar design. With a small upstand. Shower to be tiled the same.

Can anyone point me in the direction of tiles that will work for the floor and the shower that fits this description? Quality tiles, not too shiney, not too expensive (does that rule out real marble?) but hard wearing and practical. Should I just do son's ensuite the same, maybe different paint colour to mix it up a bit?

Have you thought about Karndean/Amitico/HarveyMaria vinyl tiles? I know Karndean does something like you have described www.harveymaria.co.uk/ www.karndean.co.uk/en-gb/floors/colour/grey-silver.aspx?page=2
