Franke Black Glass sink - anyone have one??

New kitchen now in and we've bought a Franke black glass sink. It's really lovely, but has arrived scratchedSad. Well more of a scuff mark on it. Not hugely noticable but there nonetheless. My fitter thinks it could have been done during rather than post production.

It was quite £ so I'm trying to get hold of another. So yet another week without a sinkHmm But I'm wondering if this is just unfortunate or actually how hard wearing they really are. Does anyone have one? Does it stand up to the rigours of life as a sink in a busy kitchen? Does the glass keep it's appearance?

Don't know about sinks but a friend has a glass worktop in part of her kitchen and has been disappointed with how easily it scratches. Maybe sinks are made to be tougher thou?

Oh thanks for your reply better. It's supposed to be toughened saftey glass. I just wish I knew someone that has one. This is new territory for me but we've got off to a bad start.

It looks fantastic though..

I have the aqua glass one, and haven't had any problems with it. I'm not aware of any scratches - although the colour I have might be more forgiving than the black one.

I agree though, it is a very beautiful sink - the highlight of my kitchen!

Hi
How are you getting on with the sink. We are debating getting one. Have you found yours has scratched at all?
Have you got the drainer with the groves or flat textured one?

Thanks :)
