DS and I were at the swimming pool today. He suggested it would be nice to have our own pool Grin so when we got home we looked on prime location for houses with pools in London.
The first few are POA. The first one that is priced is on the market for.......

£39,950,000

Here, if you're interested

Think I'll stick with the council pool for now Smile

Yikes, it's awful! That dining room set is SO ott. Kitchen not bad but £40 million?? No way.

And what are those statues supposed to be doing Confused

It is really awful isn't it? Money can't buy taste.
And I'm surprised there are only 8 pictures. I would expect a slightly bigger selection of pics from my EA if they were to get a rather large wad of cash out of the sale.

That is a horrible house. What is going on with the flowers in the kitchen - you must have to climb on the counter to get them up there. Money can't buy taste!

Didn't notice the flowers in the kitchen on first glance. Why so high?? I bet they're silk and full of dust

I do like the quirky chairs in picture 2 though :)

There's a video if you make it to the estate agent's website! Loads of photos.
The same 'delightful' taste throughout Hmm
Although I wouldn't mind my own bathroom and dressing room - not sure I'd need a second one though!

Ooh off to look at the EA website

What is a plant room? Am I just too common to know? I think that may be the case, because my first thought involved drugs Grin

Just how much money would you actually have to have, to think it would be OK to spend £40million on a house ??? Shock.

I mean, I don't want to sound all pious, but when you think the impact say £30million of that would have on so many underfunded charities or lives, and you'd still have £10 mill to play with.

I love a bit of property porn, and looking at stuff I'll never be able to afford, but really ? £40 million ????

What?! The seventh bedroom doesn't have an en-suite? Scandalous.

There's a button that link that says "stop the slideshow"; and for once I wanted to.

Fuck me, well ugly.

There isn't a property on the planet worth 40 million quid, and certainly not that one!!!
It's a house. Just a house. A big old, ugly, ostentatious house.

If they knocked off 3 zeros, promised not to leave any of their hideous stuff I might be tempted. But then again, I hate the kitchen and the bathroom so would want to replace them, so I'd have to knock them down 10k to do those...

Oh god, I just noticed it has a "staff entrance" bleurgh! Hmm But then again it does have enough garage space for "four large limousines" which is damn handy I reckon; hate having to park mine on the road outside my HA flat coz the pigeons keep crapping on them.

LegArmpits · 02/11/2012 07:42

Ha! It looks like a Sims house.

It's hideous. Andthe location is crap as well. I never understood why people wanted to live there, it's on my old bus route.

Thought it was horrible. Is that what you get for 40 million?

Grin at plant room - I reckoned conservatory.

In the 8 pictures I didn't think it was horrendous. When you said the price tag I initially thought you were taking the pee or going to put pics of Bucks Palace up!

It's Bishop's Avenue though isn't it. Enough said. Attracts a certain type of person.

You all sound a little bit Envy I'll have an en-suite put on the 7th bedroom (hadn't considered that's why it hadn't sold) Grin
