IKEA curtains but no IKEA "Kvartal" rod

Can anyone help, I considering buying curtains from IKEA that I would ideally want to hang using an older sliding rod and the traditional 'S' clips. Is this possible, or do IKEA require that you buy their special rods too?

Most of their curtains will work with a standard curtain rod (they sell tab top style, etc), but a few things will be based on one of their systems like the kvartal (which I believe is more flat sheets/blnds that just roll along along a track).

So it depends on which curtains you're l

From the product info
Key features

  • The curtains let the daylight through but provide privacy so they are perfect to use in a layered window solution.
  • Heading with slot, hidden tabs and gathering tape; works on curtain rods, wires or KVARTAL curtain hanging system using hanging accessories.

Looks like it should be fine on a standard rod (using tabs or hooks)

Thanks Runs. Now I feel like a doofus for not reading the product info closely enough. You'd think a doctorate in law would have made me a good reader, eh?

Nah, not at all. The product info on the ikea site is a bit hidden. You have to select a tab, as it's not immediately visible when you select a product to view.

I just spend too much time on the ikea site :-)
