Do I need undercoat with f&b

Can you tell it's the first time I'm using this paint :)

All the blurb says you have to use their undercoat for wall paint. However I never have before as surely the old coat of paint is an undercoat!

So can anyone who uses the f&b wall paint let me know if it is needed.
Thanks

No undercoat needed unless your walls are freshly plastered. You should give your walls a quick sand and a wash with a sugar soap solution before painting. You will get a smoother result.

Used F&B a plenty and not ever undercoated unless it was virgin wall. Smile

Excellent thanks. I washed them down yesterday(they look like new walls, can't believe they were so dirty) so I'm good to go then.

Thanks
