Inset stoves any good?

We have a living flame gas fire in a limestone fireplace but would very much like a wood burner. We think an inset stove would be the best option as it could be fitted with the least disruption and, as it's quite a small room, would be safest for DCs.
We have found the Esse 350SE and wondered if any one had experience of this stove. It's very expensive compared to some so if anyone can advise the pros and cons of this model, it would be enormously appreciated.
