Good quality slipper bath?

Need to buy a 1700 long slipper bath. Would love a cast iron one but cost and hassle-factor means I have eliminated. Would also be going in a modern setting, so not sure its necessary.

Does anyone have an acrylic-skinned one that does not look too plasticky? Saw the one in Bathstore at the weekend and it was just soooo shiny.....Anyone seen one in an alternative material that has a more expensive look to it?
