I don't really understand your OP as you haven't explained fully - do you mean you want to change to a flag floor or change the existing flag floor?

The best thing is to look at kitchen showrooms to see which style grabs you. You can also search eg. 'modern country kitchen' in google and select images and you get pages and pages very quickly. without the expense of buying ebdless magazines

A few simple sentences and clearer descriptions may help us to understand your current set up and what you are trying to achieve. May take a bit longer and require more effort though.

However, feel free to put your post in weird points
like
this
it is not very easy to help
not knowing what is old
what is wanted
is the 12x12 wanted? Galley? The main room? Where the Aga is? Where the flags are? Where is the light? Is there 2 parts to the kitchen? Where is the cupboard? Do you want to keep it?

Do you understand the lack of clarity?

yes i understand how i am not great at explaining!
want to keep the 12 x 12
galley would love to knock into the utility room
light central to 12 x 12 room
this room has door off hall, door to galley kitchen, door to utility corridor, French door to garden
aga is opposite when you enter from hall door
hall door and galley door on opposite side to aga wall which has right side alcove with slim cupboard on wall and free standing cupboard , then aga recessed, then built in Victorian cupboard , 90 degree turn then French door to garden, then door to utility corridor. 90 degree then door to galley kitchen , then short wall with dresser, them back to door to hall
