Advice on moving to Addlestone and surrounding area

Hi,

I have two small children and my husband has got a new job in Surbiton. We are looking at moving to the Addlestone area as it seems you can get much more for your money here than in Walton/Weybridge/Thames Ditton. We do not know the area other than by google search and a drive around. Top of the google searches there seemed to be some quite negative comments about Addlestone as a place to bring up young kids. I'd appreciate some fellow mum's advice please....
