looks like we can complete and move Friday and this is very short notice for us. Does anyone have a rough idea how much packing and removal for a 3 bed semi could cost please!

Where are you? We just booked a removal today for next Monday, from London to Brighton, including all packing and boxes provided for £810. That's about as cheap as it gets I think, in London.

Norfolk, so may be cheaper!

Lidi, who did you book with?

We used bushells in Wandsworth and they did packing and move fo around £900 IIRC. We only moved 5 miles though, but it was at very short notice. No good if you're not in london but I thought I would mention.

£900 for us to move on a Friday and that's with full packing service. We're in West Midlands.

if you phone round , most C.o"s can quote over the phone , they will ask (obviously) certain questions but do tell them about things such as 150kg furniture (single piece) large glassware collection, masses of gardening stuff , a reputable Co. should do this no prod.different levels of service ie you pack they lift and transport or they pack lift and tnsp. >cheapest quote>they put all goods in house , more expensive >, everything is put in room you want >>>sign all docs "not inspected!" if u tip ,(duck)tip when they turn up, sounds strange but it works , or give money to "lead hand, foreman" if poss, and long job , offer coffee / tea , got kids ? don"t if poss let them about the removers , it slows job and is dangerous , my father had removal co. , hope this is off some help
