Anyone bought a Neff double oven, Neff hob or any kind of fridge freezer lately and want to advise me for or against?

Am having tremendous difficulty in committing to any of my new kitchen appliances! Really need to order them in the next day or two...

Any contributions from anyone about any of these will really be most welcome!

Iirc I had a neff double oven in my last house ( it was put in by the developers) It was ok, pain in the backside to clean ( so I didn't)

Wouldn't rave about it tbh.

Wordsonapage · 21/11/2011 15:06

When I say pain in the arse it had a stupid double glass bit on the door which you had to screw off to clean in-between and just attracted grease and dust.

The oven clean man raised his eyes in despair when he saw it...

Neff oven is fine (glass door easy to clean IME (not that I do it often)) - Neff hob not so good - has proved impossible to keep clean and has issues with pressure (which may be just our LPG supply, in fairness)

Did you have a stainless steel hob or the black glass one stealthy?

Stainless steel. Would definitely go for glass if I had the choice now, I think.

Neff hob was a pile of shite. Lasted under 6 months before the rings gave up and the numbers or bits next to the hob which tell you how high it is on, wore away after a couple of cleans.
was a stainless steel one.

Have had a Neff ceramic and now induction hob and loved them both. Would not be parted from the induction hob now.

Had a double Neff oven in our old house, and two singles in the new. Loved the old double. It had the water type cleaning system, which was brilliant (sorry can't remember what it was called). Spent a silly amount of money on the new ovens, and went up a couple of levels, but not quite so impressed. It could just be that it is different though, and has lots of functions I don't use (like a Sabbath setting!).

Have Neff ovens, microwave, steam oven (which we haven't used yet), induction hob, fridge freeze and extractor fan. No problems so far. Only had since July though.

SnowChains · 21/11/2011 15:38

mine was an induction hob. Maybe I just had a bad'n

Just had a Neff double oven delivered today to replace the Neff one we had. It looks identical (though the one being replaced was about 10 years old). The delivery/installation men said that with the Neff ovens, they never go back once installed. They also said Bosch, Siemens and Neff all made by same company - Bosch is the 'cheapest' range, Neff is mid-range and Siemens the top range and price is reflected accordingly.

I have Neff and love it. Rather than a double oven I have a single plus a combination oven. It works brilliantly and I use the combi one for most things -cakes on the conventional setting, fan oven when I need it, grilling - and microwaving of course. Excellent and would recommend. Plus having combi saves on space because no need for a separate microwave.

Have 2 Neff single ovens - High spec - Fantastic.

Have a Neff integrated coffee machine which is also great but problematic but only because of the way the fitters installed it.

Ditto the microwave.

Ditto the larder fridge.

Ditto the dishwasher - Neff have come out MANY times within the first year due to incompetent installers.

Have a Neff induction hob which is ok bit next time I would get gas as I like to "see" the strength. The Neff if just so strong that everything boils over instantly.

Have a Neff under-counter freezer which is perfect.

The products are great but just get them fitted by good guys.

I"m more than happy with my Neff double oven. I bought it two years ago.

TalkinPeace2 · 21/11/2011 19:37

neff induction hob
neff double oven
neff fitted hood
all graded stock from here www.southerndomestic.co.uk/
wonderful appliances now 3 years old
splendid company

bibbitybobbitybloodyaxe · 24/11/2011 11:06

Just coming back to say thanks for all contributions everyone.

The appliances are all ordered now, no going back. I stuck with Neff for oven and hob and Zanussi for the fridge/freezer and now that its done and dusted I feel quite relieved!

Just got to decide on paint and lights now ...

I went with John Lewis for a fridge freezer and love it.

We wanted a small freezer and big capacity fridge and it is in our utility room so did not need to be intergrated.

crazycarol · 26/11/2011 23:17

We have had a neff double oven for 2 years and love it. I spent ages choosing the right one (had to fit in a certain space in the kitchen). I was terrified that (1) it wouldn't fit and (2) I would hate it. But no it is perfect.
