Completion on sale tomorrow and I'm an absolute bag of nerves

i'm convinced something is going to go wrong and I don't know why. We're moving to store and staying with parents until the chain is ready on the next house. I don't have a mortgage so the proceeds of the sale will be going directly into a savings account until the chain is ready to go on my next house in about a month. All this talk of financial markets crashing makes me think the bank will pull my buyers mortgage at the last minute and leave me living out of a suitcase in an empty property. Please tell me I'm being totally neurotic, am over tired and emotional (it was ds6's birthday party today as well - kids party's fill me with dread.).

You're being totally neurotic. You are over-tired and emotional.

Do you mean Exchange or Completion day? If Completion then realistically what can go wrong? Once Exchange has taken place I understood it that no-one can pull out?

Also, I have always thought that if you have a mortgage agreement then isn't it valid for 6 months?

Thank you. Apologies for not replyinglast night. I took a sleeping pill and zonked out at half 8!

I'm not usually such a worrier and I've been lucky that my buyer has been great but the solicitor told me that with the economy the way it is it's not unknown for banks to pull mortgages after exchange (Altho it doesn't happen often it does happen). Well what will be will be now I guess. Thanks again for replys
