Trying to find nice unisex co-ordinating kids bedroom furniture

It drive me potty how everything is either pink or blue, or diggers or fairy carriages!

There is some lovely White furniture out there but anything half affordable is awful chipboard crap and the nice stuff is £££££. I don't want to spend £1200 on bed wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Anyone got any suggestions

don't have much time sorry - babies in bed but now need to return a phonecall... Anyway, do a google search for Thuka, Stompa or Scallywag furniture. We have Scallywag L-shaped bunk beds (basically 2 starter beds with a high sleeper conversion set for one of them) in white. (The beds are actually mainly pine (but nice pine - not orangey!) with just a solid colour on the ends. They have some unisex colours like the white, red or green (I think they had an orange too) or you could do mix and match so you could still use blues etc... but unisex it by having a green something too. They're not cheap, BUT you can find them at a huge range of prices so it's worth looking around. We got our bunks for £515, but had seen them for as much as £850! We didn't get other furniture as we have build in wardrobes and already had a chest of drawers from IKEA - MALM range - good quality, lasts and doesn't look either too grown up or too young so can be used for years to come. Actually - before our two older ones started sharing a room (and got the bunk beds), they had MALM beds too. Full size singles so again - good for long-term use and convenient if you have someone staying who is too big for a junior bed, but also low so very safe for young children.

Thuka stuff looks great. It's a bit pricey, but the reviews are fab.

We spent a lot of money on Habitat stuff for DS and not very much at all at IKEA for DD

Hand on heart the IKEA has been far better, more 'flexible' (extending beds as kids grow, co-ordinating storage etc) and just as good in quality terms as Habitat. Not as 'striking' as the Habitat stuff to look at, but infinitely more practical.

Try the Aylesbury range at John Lewis. It's available in natural wood or painted white. Think it's around £750 for bed + chest of drawers + wardrobe (they also do bunk beds).

Have you looked on gumtree or preloved etc? We got 2 Laura Ashley single bed frames and a trundle bed to go underneath (all in white) from an advert in our local supermarket! Lovely quality. We bought matching drawers from LA directly. Saved us ££££.

Its worth keeping an eye out.
