They seem to have the best product and a pretty competitive price - has anyone used them before?

Thanks :)

Hi there have heard the bamboo flooring company (BFC) is very good and came across your post straight after reading the bamboo flooring company blog - there are some great articles their that will help to answer your question :)

I used them for my kitchen floor and would recommend them. I have the natural strand woven sort: it's beautiful and incredibly hardwearing.

To resume thread ...
I was keen to go for amnio floring in my living room, hallway and kitchen ... Until I came across this website!
bambooflooringreviews.org/
website uses very emotive language 'it's all lies' which makes me think it's been started by someone with an axe to grind/competitor but it's caused me wobble on my decision!
Does anyone have any thoughts/experience?
Thanks

Btw the website rubbishes bamboo as a product, not the bamboo flooring company per se. Perhaps I should start a new thread but will see how this goes (or not!) first ...

We have solid strand woven bamboo throughout the downstairs of our house. It's only been down since April, but it looks beautiful, and no scratches. Very easy to clean too. We got ours from the Bamboo Flooring company.

We have had bamboo flooring sourced through the BFC down for about five years. At the time it was cheaper than 'real' wood and a better option than laminate.

We are very happy with the look and also the way that it has worn. The only thing that you need to be aware of is that it does fade, if covered up (eg under my door mat).

Thanks both for your replies. Vonnyh, do you have the carbonised strand woven solid? ie. the darker one, not natural?

Why on earth would somebody create a website with so much content, to critcise Bamboo flooring Hmm how very bizarre!!

We're thinking of installing some too, or engineered wood. Not sure yet...

We have the natural strand woven, the lighter one. We asked for samples of both colours and much preferred the look.

Thanks again for the replies!

Well, I've since spoken to the Bamboo Flooring Company and they were very professional in countering the accusations on the blog. They also did their research and established that the guy who started the blog owns a hardwood flooring company in the US. So, a vested interest as I suspected!

I'm still keen on going with the Bamboo Flooring Company. And yet, they say that it's rubbish that you can purchase the product formaldehyde-free (one of my concerns, ignited by aforementioned blog) . However, this company says you can - www.onlinebamboofloor.co.uk/about.htm
Has anyone else asked this question before? What was the response? And/or has anyone had any dealings with this company - Tong Ling Bamboo Flooring?

Going off on a slight tangent - the Tong Ling company also offer strand woven mulberry, which we also really like! Has anyone ever used mulberry as a flooring material?

Hi, it's been a while since this thread was active, but seeing as it's been years gone by was hoping to have your feedback on the floor again. I have recently purchased it from the bamboo flooring company and then found some scary articles about formaldehyde from the resin being released from the boards. Have you had a smell from it or anything? Sounds silly but I wouldn't like to be sitting my main living area full of sun radiating on the floor releasing gases!

I've bought all my flooring from them and it's a great service and a solid product. Happy all round tbh. No issues of released gases except from usual places lol

We bought from them 10+ years ago. No issues at all.
